On the eve of our first senior game in the West of Scotland Football League. Manager Chris Strain is delighted to be able to add Kilmarnock defender Craig Ross to the squad on loan. The 18 year old centre back has spent most of his football career with Kilmarnock having progressed through the pro-youth ranks. A regular in the Kilmarnock reserves and recently signed a full time contract with the club and is part of Killie’s new modern apprenticeship scheme. Craig also made his 1st team debut for kilmarnock playing alongside experienced midfielder Gary Dicker in the team’s recent Betfred Cup match at home to Dunfermline.
Manager Chris Strain can’t wait to see what Craig can offer
“Craig comes in having made his first team debut for Kilmarnock. We have a good relationship with Kilmarnock and James Fowler, Alan Mahood and Paul McDonald all spoke highly of Craig to me. The club think Craig has a bright future and the loan move will benefit both parties. We feel this move will help us, creating real competition for places at the back. Craig is combative and can use the ball well, he will add a freshness to the squad and we can’t wait for him to come in and get going.”
Craig will wear the number 21 jersey. Welcome to the Club.
