It’s the first day of pre-season and manager David Gormley adds goalkeeper Ewan Henderson to the squad.
The 17 year old returns to The Buffs after spells with Airdrie and Whitletts, having made his first team debut against Rossvale in a 4-1 win at Buffs Park. Buffs no.1 Craig Gordon was in goals for Rossvale that day. The 17 year old keeper will split his time between the u20s and the first team getting the blend of game time and first team experience.
Henderson has been in supporting the first team towards the end of the season and impressed the coaching staff.
The manager has high hopes for the keeper
“Ewan is a young goal keeper and full of promise – he has throughly impressed my staff from his performances at training. At only 17 and we have managed to tie him down when he had options at senior level – shows the strides that we are taking to create pathways for our young players.”
