The Club are delighted to unveil our new manager, David Gormley, who joins us from Lowland League side Broomhill FC.

Gormz has agreed a 2 year deal and will take up his role at the end of the season.

Chairman, Colin Boyd, had this to say:

“The committee are delighted in the appointment of David. It’s rare to find a young manager with experience at our level.

I’m sure David and his back room team will be welcomed to the club by the fans. We are looking forward to working with him next season.”

The 34 year old, as a player played for Pollok, Auchinleck Talbot, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy and Glenafton in the West Junior Leagues as well as Clyde, Ayr and Alloa in the Scottish Football League.

David took up his first managerial role at Rossvale in 2019 before a move to Broomhill in 2021.

Gormley is relishing the opportunity ahead:

“I am absolutely delighted to be named as manager of Kilwinning Rangers Football Club and can’t wait to get started.

‘The Buffs’ have been a large part of the community for over a hundred years and the tremendous work that has been carried out in the last few years has laid the foundations for the club to continue to grow.

The club have committed people with a vision to further develop links within its community and develop player pathways to take the club forward.

My work starts now to build a strong squad and have a coaching staff in place in preparation for the new season.

Thanks to Kilwinning Rangers for giving me this opportunity. I look forward to having your support as I will work hard to bring success to the club.”

The Club will announced David’s backroom staff in the days ahead.
