The Buffs are delighted to confirm that Ben Lewis has agreed a new deal with the club.

The midfielder is a product of the youth pathway having started playing his youth football with Ian Cashmore Snr’s Under 8s side.

It was a no brainer for Ben to sign for another year

“Very glad to be asked to sign another deal at The Buffs. The club has a great set up and are hugely ambitious, things keep getting better off the park and I’m looking forward to being part of this for years to come. I’m sure next season will be my 14th year at Kilwinning so I’m nearing my 20 year target.”

Manager Chris Strain feels Lewis is an important part of his team

“Ben is part of the furniture at The Buffs and he’s an integral part of the team. Everything a team-mate should be and at 31 he’s a great influence on the younger players. I feel he’s under appreciated at times but when he’s not playing you know he’s missing as he’s vital to our team and the way we want to be.”

Ben joins Jordan Stuart, Gavin Millar, Keiren Wood, David Syme, Thomas Collins and Lewis Gardiner in players already committed to season 2022-23. The manager will continue to have discussions with players over the course of the season and we’ll let you know as soon as we have any more news.
