The next returnee for #SigningSaturday is right back Jamie Whyte. Jamie has been with the club for what will be his 3rd season and he can’t wait to get going. Jamie is a tall defender, capable of playing anywhere in the back four and gives Chris plenty scope to tweak his back four when injuries and suspensions kick in. He is a threat in the air at set pieces and will be hoping he can build on some good performances from last season.
Chris has the faith in Jamie to be a big player in his side, “Jamie and I had an honest chat and I believe there is a top player in him. He needs to be more vocal, more aggressive, more assertive and push himself. If he does that he’ll become a mainstay for us. Jamie recognises that and has assured me he will be going at it full tilt. He’s a great lad and I hope he can fulfil his promise in what is now his 3rd season.”
Jamie had this to say “Looking forward to get back playing football, as a team we had a good season last year, it’s great to see so many of the boys re signing hopefully we can kick on”
