It’s that time again, the final returnee on #SigningSaturday. This time, it’s the turn of Ricky Hanvey. ‘Bifter’ as Ricky is affectionately known by his team-mates is back for his 3rd season with the club after he returned last season after a season away from the club.
The squad is shaping up nicely and Strain is happy to have an influential player like Ricky in his squad, “I am delighted to have Ricky on board again just so I can have somebody to run rings round in training. Ricky has a steely mentality, when training is not to standard he demands improvements and sets a tone. It’s the same on the pitch, that influence is vital. The boys love him and he’s matured from the wee fella who got sent off for trying to get close to me, to a mature consistent performer.”
Ricky had this to say, “I’m glad to sign again. I couldn’t see me playing elsewhere to be honest. I’m looking forward to getting back to it and back down to Buffs Park. We had a decent season last year and with a few more additions to the squad, will see us kick on again that bit further. There is going to be a few tasty games next season, buzzing for them!! Mon The Buffs!”
