We would like to take this opportunity to address the ongoing situation at the Club and to reassure our supporters during this period of significant change. While we will not be responding to rumours or speculation, we can confirm that our Chairman, Colin Evans, has stepped down from his position. Colin has been a force of nature for good within this Club. His dedication, drive, and vision have laid solid foundations for the Buffs to continue progressing, particularly towards securing our SFA Bronze Licence. His contribution has been immense, and we extend our sincere thanks for everything he has done.
This development also coincides with the departure of our Manager, Kevin Kelly, and his coaching team. We fully understand that losing Kevin and his staff is a concern for many of our supporters, and their departure, alongside the Chairman’s, can naturally create uncertainty. We ask all supporters to stick with us, have patience, and trust in the plans that are already in motion.
We must also acknowledge the equally significant departures of Ben Grant (Secretary & Media Manager) and Garry McLaughlin (Treasurer). Ben and Garry have served the Club tirelessly for many years, and both fully deserve a well‑earned rest. They are currently handing over the extensive responsibilities their roles entail. Their successors have already been identified, are in place, and will formally assume full duties in the coming weeks.
This Saturday, Ian Cashmore and Ben Lewis will take charge of first‑team affairs. Both are highly respected figures within the Club, and we ask that they are given everyone’s full backing as we move forward.
There has been considerable speculation regarding the appointment of a new manager. We trust supporters will understand that we will only make an announcement once everything is official and confirmed.
Finally, now more than ever, we ask for everyone’s full support. Gossip, wild speculation, and rumours do nothing to help the Club. We must look forward, not backward.
