After previous chairman Colin Boyd stepped down from his role two weeks ago, the management committee have taken the decision to co-opt Commercial Manager Colin Evans into the role of Chairman.

Colin is a well connected local businessman and has been involved at the club for over 20 years, with his father being former Buffs manager and legend, John “The Messiah” Evans.

Evans has been pivotal in growing the club’s commercial position and has brought a wealth of sponsorship and partnerships to the club who have played a major role in transforming Buffs Park into an SFA Licensed Ground and the development of The Claire Hub.

On his appointment, Colin had his to say:

“I never thought it would be a role I would have taken up at The Buffs as I thought my predecessor would have been here for a long time to come. That being said, I’m ecstatic and proud to become The Buffs Chairman. The Buffs is in the Evans’ family blood and I can continue that tradition.

I hope to continue to take the club forward on the path that has been set out and I hope that fans and the community will get behind me, the committee, the management team and the players, and carry on this journey together.
