The club can confirm midfielder Kevin Nicoll has been selected as the new club captain. Kevin arrived in the summer from Clyde having played over 250 games in the SPFL and brings a wealth of experience having captained a number of his previous clubs.
Kevin will be supported by midfielder Chris Millar as his Vice Captain
Manager David Gormley had this to say on selecting Kevin and Chris as Captain and Vice Captain
“As a management team, we decided that due to the wealth of experience and leadership skills that Kev and Chris possess they were the obvious choices.
One of my priorities was to look out for a Captain, one who had experience, who was respected and has great leadership qualities. Leadership is a integral part of a football team and I wanted to make sure when I became manager that I got the right people onboard.
In this short period of time it’s clear the influence they already have within the dressing room. They are hugely respected and are role models.
Although, Kevin and Chris are my captains. I want everyone in the squad to stand up and be counted. I want a team full of leaders.”
